Obviously a .FR name targets only the French market so you may dismiss it as not worth a lot of money. However credit.fr just sold for 587,500 euros, that is a bit less than 900,000 US dollars.
Noone can say this is not a lot of money !
This shows why you need to consider foreign markets and ccTLD when investing in domain names. There are some huge opportunities to be had, provided you do a bit of research first.
